My Digital Studio

Stampin Up has come out with a great new product "My Digital Studio" while I don't have the whole program yet, they offered a trial download to demos! (yea!) Tomorrow night I am having a workshop and wanted to showcase how fun and simple it is to create digitally. This page is just that, very simple, but would you believe it only took about 5-10 minutes! Think of the possibilities!

Wishing for Spring...

Good Morning,
I have a few more cards to show you today...as soon as I saw this stamp set Trendy Trees(pg 91) I knew I had to have it! These trees can be used in so many ways, for this card I wanted to have green trees, to remember that Spring really is on its way! I stamped the tops in Garden Green, Kiwi Kiss, and Old Olive, then used the Stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the tree trunks, which I stamped in Basic Brown and then layered on Old Olive cardstock. I added a little red sentiment using Real Red, tied a little ribbon on and there you have it~ Thanks for stopping by!

Hi World...I'm Back

So I have been on a blogging break, while I tried to survive the holidays...but now its a NEW Year, full of NEW opportunities, NEW ideas and best of all a NEW Stampin Up Catalog! Last Thursday was our monthly Stamp Club and I think we made some fun projects. Our hostess for the month, made all the girls these adorable notebooks with the Flower Layers dies, so CUTE!
Our first project used the Mark The Date and Full Calendar stamp sets (found on page 126 of the new catty) We stamped the calendar in Basic Black, and the months in a variety of Stampin Up colors! It was pretty simple to assemble, if you want exact measurements leave me a comment and I'll post them.

The current month hangs with a clip adhered to the front with glue dots, while the months not in use sit in the pocket on the back, I just folded up the Kraft c/s and held it together with the twine from the Holiday Mini (now discontinued).
I thought this was a great way to start off 2009, a little calender perfect for the kitchen counter, next to the computer, or a desk at work!
For our next project I wanted to use the Valentines Bundle, I am loving this cute Valentine set Love You Much (pg27) The bundle includes, the Love You Much stampset, coordinating paper Candy Lane, and cute new punch Heart to Heart...all packaged together at a 20% savings! Contact me to order your bundle!! Anyway onto the project. We started with a Kraft cs base, and layered Riding Hood Red, and Pirouette Pink, on Very Vanilla cs the image was stamped in Basic Brown and colored using the AquaPainters and coordinating inks, to finish it off the ends were sealed using my paper crimper.
As I mentioned our hostess for the month made these adorable books for everyone...I love how great the dies work on such a variety of mediums-fabric, felt, cardboard-so many possibilities!!
Thanks for looking! Have a great day!

Cards For Heros

I've seen on a couple of different blogs about Cards for Heros, I always think it sounds like such a great and easy way to support our troops but sadly I never get around to actually making and sending the cards...I am glad to have friends that are more motivated then me :) ! A friend decided to collect a bunch of cards and send them in and asked for any donations. She mentioned there was a need for holiday cards, so here was my contribution.
I wanted to make something that would be simple and easy to mass produce. I loved how this card sparkled...oops did I say sparkle....I forgot on my friends blog there was a mention not to use any glitter or rhinestones, or basically any form of holiday "bling" because it can mess with the heat vision goggles, and also make soldiers stand out...so I modified the card and took away the Dazzling Diamond glitter, I liked the original better but I understand the reasons...so here is my non-shiny version
I wish you could see the dimension a little better, the Baja Breeze cs is popped out with dimensionals kindof shadowboxing the snowflake. I used craft cs for my base and embossed my sentiment in Winter White ep. I absolutely LOVE this cute little snowflake punch...I see myself putting that little cutie to work on alot of Christmas cards and tags. Thanks for stopping by!

Trick or Treat Stamp Nite

Wow, it has been awhile since I have posted, its been kindof crazy at my house but hopefully the crazy has settled down and I'll have a little more time to stamp and post because there is probably a million ideas of cards and scrapbook pages and holiday crafts that I want to try out~!
Last week was time once again for my Stamp Club. I mentioned before that I {heart} Halloween and so I decided to have a "Trick or Treat" theme, all of our projects were different ideas to share treats...
Our first project was this cute little bat...we covered a york peppermint paddy with a few punched out pieces of paper..seriously SO SIMPLE! And so CUTE! we used the Scallop, the Photo Corners, the 1 1/4 Circle, and the 1 3/8 Circle punches
For our next project we used the new Pillow Box die from Stampin Up! I love how easy these dies are to use, in no time flat you have a great treat for classrooms, sports teams, handouts really anything!! We used Tangerine Tango cs for the box, and the new Kiwi Kiss ribbon, for our tag we used a stamp from "Eat Drink and Be Scary" available now in the new Holiday Mini Catalog. To get the variety of color we colored on the stamp with old olive, pumpkin pie and basic black stampin write markers.
And for our final project we made a boxy bag...you'll find a great tutorial on how to make this bag yourself HERE. I loved how this turned out, I started with and Perfect Plum cs base, and embellished with Ghostly Greetings dsp from Stampin Up. A little more ribbon and a brad finished off this cute box.
I hope the girls had fun and enjoyed making their projects...see you next month!

Halloween Treat Bag

So, I am getting so excited for Halloween this year...Halloween is not usually my favorite holiday but for some reason this year I can't wait for it to come. Maybe part of that is the fact that there is SO much cute Halloween stuff EVERYWHERE! From paper and embellishments to fabric and home decor...I love it all! Anyway I got this cute stamp set from the new Stampin Up mini catalog...only a few more days until you can order....anyway I am always looking for ways to make little treat bags, between my son's various sports, my little girl's dance class, and school we always have a need for small easy to assemble treat bags!
This box was actually pre-scored and ready to assemble when I got them, a package of like 30 for 1 dollar at the scrapbook expo last week. So I just added the ribbon and a little tag for the front, I found this glitter also in a dollar bin the black was a little "too" chunky, but oh well it will work until my Chunky Glitter from Stampin Up arrives! Thanks for stopping by...have a great day!

Stamp Night!

The second Thursday of every month is "Stamp Nite" at my house! My club girls come and we make a variety of projects. This month we did two cards.
I loved the pocket card from this POST so much, I decided to have it be one of our projects. We started with 4x4 Kiwi Kiss base and layed some of the great new Halloween paper (Ghostly Greetings) onto it, the accent cs is Pumpkin Pie and Basic Grey. We used images from
Batty For You, to make the circle piece first we stamped in versamark ink and embossed in with black EP, and then stamped the image again in Pumpkin Pie using the 1" circle punch, punched out the pumpkin and popped it out with some dimensionals.
For our next card we used Pocket Silhouettes, (which is ON SALE until the end of this month, you can even buy it ON-LINE!) We used Kiwi Kiss, Pacific Point, and Baja Breeze cs. We stamped on the Pacific Point piece with white stazon, and popped out the center piece using the new Scallop Square punch and dimensionals. We finished off the card with a little clip~ I love those little library clips don't you! Thanks for stopping by!

Pocket Silhouettes

Hello!
Are you enjoying your weekend?? Hopefully you are! I have been busy working on some challenges and projects so I'll have somethings to post, but I did have a card to share today. The picture is a little dark, but the colors look great IRL. I hope you like it! Thanks for stopping by..
I made this card by stamping the image from Pocket Silhouettes (don't you just love this set?) in Chocolate Chip ink on Very Vanilla cs, I layered it on Chocolate Chip cs and layered that onto Pink Pirouette and Kiwi Kiss which I made using THIS TEMPLATE I sponged the edges just a little with my Chocolate Chip ink, the background polka dot piece came from the Chocolate Chip DSP I just go from Stampin Up! If you haven't seen these papers yet they come in a variety of colors you can check them out on my Stampin Up Website! Finally I embellished with a few light pink dew drops, adhered with Tombow Mono Adhesive.
